Directorate “International Affairs” responsibilities include the planning, coordination and implementation of the Agency's international activities; in cooperation with the competent structures of the Agency, the directorate makes proposals for amendments of the national legislation to take place for compliance with the EU law; coordinates and organizes activities related to cooperation with the EU and the Member States, with international governmental and non-governmental organizations, working on matters in the field of international protection; together with other structures of the Agency, organizes the implementation of the National Resettlement and Relocation Mechanisms, interacting and exchanging information with the competent national authorities and organizations; cooperates with the relevant administrative units of the ministries and departments; collects, maintains and updates a database of countries of origin and a list of further safe third countries, which include general geographical, political, economic and cultural information, as well as information on the legal framework and regarding the respect for human rights; draws up and updates analytical reports and ad-hoc queries on safe countries of origin, safe third countries, crisis areas and refugee flows; facilitates the coordination and interaction with the European Commission and/or the responsible authority for agreements or programs financed by EU funds; organizes and coordinates the interaction with the state bodies and with non-governmental organizations regarding the activity related to agreements or programs financed by EU funds; analyzes the implementation of the programs and drafts a financial framework for the funds related to agreements or programs financed with EU funds; ensures and controls the technical implementation, monitoring and assessment of the funds, and the preparation of a final report on the results of the activities financed under agreements or programs and funds related to the EU; ensures compliance with the requirements for information and publicity in connection with the activities related to agreements or programs financed by EU funds, etc
